The Dopamines 'Vices' 12" LP
If I could encapsulate the type of sound Atomic Brain Records was known for, it would sound something like The Dopamines. Among many others, I've had two bands that have been constant favourites over the last 10 years - one is The Copyrights and the other is... you guessed it.
There's pop sensibilities to these guys but there's shit loads of angst, urgency and power all delivered with a sense of no fucks given, highly inebriated, self-deprectated punk rock. I can't say a bad word about this band, the words I've used to describe them might sound pretty similar to other bands doing the rounds but there really is no one quite like The Dopamines. Smash 10 beers and turn it up to 11, but don't beer my gear!
